Beleaguered by thoughts
days past
nights awake
mornings
visual proof
of your life's damage
floating around your head
slowly moving but spinning
out of control
the calm of the eye
provides no stillness
hurling yourself into the wall
the only way out
but motionless you stand
hoping it will pass
we all know it will not
beleaguer \bi-LEE-ger\, verb:
1. to surround with troops; besiege
2. to surround or beset
A collection of Poems and Short Ramblings This blog is going to serve as a vehicle for publishing past poems, as well as an experiment in writing. I will write one poem per day for a year. I will include the "word of the day" from dictionary.com for that day in each poem, I will do my best.
