highschool bravada on eggos 5/19/2008

His insecure verbal snaps
obtruded into conversation
brown maple syrup
or leaves of green stapled to brown cardboard
all things uneasy to take in
he thought himself tough
stoic and strong

his brashness hid nothing
from us
but his fear of being silent
or found out as not omnipotent
